    Dr. Aglaed Salazar is a bilingual Clinical Forensic Psychologist, currently licensed in California (PSY32765). She earned a Doctorate Degree (PsyD) and a Master’s Degree (MA) in Clinical Forensic Psychology from Alliant International University. Dr. Salazar has over 10 years of professional and clinical experience.

    Her experience includes the provision of forensic and clinical-focused psychological services in diverse settings including juvenile halls in LA County and Orange County, government agency outpatient mental health clinics, hospitals, schools, and private practice. She has treated illnesses such as but not limited to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Postpartum Depression, Major Depression, Anxiety Disorders, Mood Disorders, Personality Disorders, and Substance Use Disorders.

    Dr. Salazar is fluent in Spanish and is currently accepting new patients for individual, group, family, couples therapy, and psychological testing for children, adolescents, and adults of various presenting symptoms and socioeconomic statuses.

    Dr. Salazar uses a culturally sensitive, integrative, and holistic approach which also includes but is not limited to the following modalities: Psycho-Analysis, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Positive Psychology, Solution-Focused Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, and Mindfulness Therapy.

    Dr. Salazar is a single mother of four children and understands the stress life demands can create when pulled in different directions. Life has been her #1 teacher. Born in Los Angeles County and raised in underserved LatinX, Afro-LatinX, and Afro-American communities have unfortunately exposed her to traumas of various types and community violence. She has experienced the negative effects of societal and cultural stigmas on her sense of identity. Having also personally lived through and survived the ill effects of Narcissistic Abuse and Codependency, Dr. Salazar is dedicated to helping all types of survivors heal and learn how their personal negative experiences do not define who they are.

    Dr. Salazar identifies as a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP), an empath with a heightened ability to sense the energy of others. This has allowed her to genuinely connect and ultimately help guide individuals onto self-love and self-care.
