Céad Míle Fáilte- One Hundred Thousand Welcomes!

I am so glad you are considering seeking therapy. Many of my clients are seeking to create healthy relationships, a stronger sense of self, and the ability to better cope with life’s challenges. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is very important in creating a safe, nurturing space for my clients.

My Clinical experience includes working with foster children to adjust to new families, working with survivors to overcome physical and emotional abuse, and helping families with children battling mental illness. I have volunteered as a crisis counselor with the Riverside Area Rape Crisis Center, helping adult survivors tell their stories and holding their hands through a difficult time in their lives. I have received clinical training at CAST with children who are victims of crimes, as well as aiding their families in supporting them in their needs. When working with children, I use a variety of modalities including art-based interventions, play therapy, narrative therapy, and sand tray work.

I have worked with families of military personnel who have been diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, using nature therapy and Equine-assisted therapy models. I also have extensive crisis assessment experience, including helping with 5150 and 5585 Holds, including inpatient hospital evaluations. My background in testing is extensive and includes both Adults and children.

I am a licensed psychologist and currently hold a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Depth psychology. I also hold a B.A in Psychology a Minor in Women’s studies and a master’s in Organizational behavior. As a former environmental consultant, I am passionate about nature-based therapy and use nature examples to help clients understand mental health challenges.

    Inspiration

Courage doesn’t happen when you have all the answers. It happens when you are ready to face the questions you have been avoiding your whole life.”
